Home-ownership made easier through the City of Benton Harbor’s First Time Home Buyers Program, designed to assist you with the American Dream of becoming a home owner.

Funding under this program will provide up to $5,000 for first time home buyers desiring to purchase a home within the city limits of Benton Harbor. These funds are used to assist you with down payment and closing costs for low/mod families and individuals.

Applicants are required to complete a Home Financial and Planning Course before you are eligible for the down payment assistance.

Application can be processed at City Hall, Department of Community/Economic Development, located at 200 E. Wall Street, Benton Harbor, Michigan.
